Plain Sailing Tadley operates as a limited company (company formation pending). These Terms apply regardless of whether services are delivered directly by the company or by instructors operating under the Plain Sailing Tadley brand.

Instructors operating under franchise or brand arrangements act as independent businesses with their own terms and conditions. No agency, partnership, or employment relationship is created by use of this website.


2. Website Use

This website may be used to:

  • Browse information
  • Create a user account
  • Book and manage driving lessons
  • Access learning resources and progress tracking tools
  • Make payments through integrated booking systems

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, interfere with functionality, upload harmful material, or use the site for unlawful, abusive, or disruptive purposes.

We reserve the right to restrict, suspend, or terminate access to the website or user accounts at our discretion.


3. Accounts, Age & Parental Responsibility

  • Users must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
  • Users aged 18 and over may hold an account and enter into contracts independently.
  • Learners under 18 may hold their own account and access resources and progress tracking.

Where a learner is under 18, all contracts, lesson agreements, and binding arrangements must be signed by:

  • The learner, and
  • A parent or legal guardian with parental responsibility.

By allowing an under‑18 to hold an account, the parent/guardian accepts responsibility for:

  • Payments
  • Cancellations
  • Attendance
  • Conduct
  • Compliance with all policies

Date of birth is not requested until account registration is completed.


4. Bookings & Payments

  • All bookings are managed exclusively through the Amelia booking system.
  • All lessons must be paid in full no later than 3 days before the lesson date.
  • Lessons will not take place if payment has not been received.
  • First lessons must be paid by bank transfer or electronic payment.
  • Cash is accepted only if paid at the previous lesson, never on the same day.
  • Bank transfer is preferred to reduce transaction fees.

Cancellations & Rescheduling

  • Students may cancel or reschedule up to 3 days before the lesson.
  • Cancellations/reschedules within 3 days are non‑refundable.
  • One free reschedule due to sickness may be granted at our discretion.

5. Learning Resources & Progress Tracking

We may provide access to lesson notes, resources, progress trackers, and downloadable materials.

These are provided for:

  • Personal learner use
  • DVSA‑related purposes only

Materials must not be shared, distributed, sold, or used by other instructors, schools, or third parties.

Access may be modified or withdrawn at any time.


6. No Advice or Guarantees

Website information is general guidance only and does not constitute:

  • Professional advice
  • Legal advice
  • Guaranteed driving test advice

Driving instruction does not guarantee a test pass. Driving test outcomes are determined solely by DVSA examiners.


7. Safety, Behaviour & Enforcement

  • Refuse or cancel bookings
  • Suspend or permanently ban accounts
  • Withhold refunds where misconduct occurs

This includes behaviour such as:

  • Abuse or threatening conduct
  • Intoxication or unfitness to drive
  • Unsafe behaviour
  • Breach of policies or instructor instructions

Instructor judgement regarding safety is final.


8. Website Availability

We do not guarantee uninterrupted access.

The website may be unavailable due to:

  • Updates
  • Technical issues
  • Third‑party service failures

We are not liable for losses arising from downtime beyond our control.


9. Third‑Party Services
